Not long afterward another large crowd came together.

When the people had nothing to eat, Jesus called the disciples

to him and said, "I feel sorry for these people

because they have been with me for three days and now have

Nothing to eat. If I send them home without feeding them,

they will faint as they go, because some of them have come

'e sousou ta." Ma 'on lelea' rak tē 'eag se ia, "Ka 'it la pō 'e tei
A long way." His disciples asked him, "Where can anyone find

ta faraoa la a' lohoa famör 'i 'e hanua gaogao te'is?" Ma tä ia
enough food to feed all these people in this desert?" He

sai' oa se irisa, "Ka faraoa he his ta' 'e 'ausa?" Ma iris 'ea,
asked, "How much bread do you have?" They answered

"Faraoa he hif." Ma kotä ia fas'ȧk se famör ma'oi, la iris la päe
"Seven loaves." He ordered the crowd to sit down

sio se pear ta. Ma tä ia sap se faraoa he hifu, ma noanoa' ia,
on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves, gave thanks,

ma to'to'ia, ma nā se 'on lelea' rak tē, la iris la nā se 'oris mua.
broke them, and gave them to his disciples to distribute.

Ma iris nā 'ia se mua 'on famör ma'oi.
And the disciples did so.

Ka iris pō tape 'ma ia' mea'mea' he his 'esea.
They also had a few small fish.

Ma ia fäeag llum'kia, ma fas'k la
Jesus gave thanks for these and told the disciples

iris la nā tē 'i tape'ma se 'oris mua. Ma tä iris 'ā ma loh.
to distribute them too. Everybody ate and had enough.

Ma iris teak se' tö 'tö' ne tē la 'ā ne tore, -'igkavei hif.
Then the disciples gathered seven baskets of leftover pieces.

(Ka 'äna iris ne 'ā tē 'itake famör 'äf häk.) Ma tä ia huar 'kia
(There were about four thousand people.) Jesus sent the iris.

Ma vȧh se ma, ma kotä ia hotiag 'esea ma 'on lelea' rak tē
people away. And at once he got into a boat with his disciples

se vak ta, ma la' se hanua ne Talmanuta.
and went to the district of Dalmanutha.
